Hello, and welcome to Simply Losing It.
My name is Paige and – like many people – I have spent my entire adult life on a weight loss / weight gain roller coaster ride.
In the past couple years, several things happened that made me decide it was time to change my life. First, I had a BIG birthday. You know the kind I mean. One of those birthday bench marks that make you rethink your entire life and remind you of your mortality. Next, my blood pressure soared out of control. Given that I had always had low blood pressure, it was shocking and disturbing to have to start taking medication on a daily basis.
This was my life screaming at me, “You need to make BIG changes right NOW!”
That’s when I came up with a plan. I realized that after years of being on every diet ever invented and reading numerous books on good nutrition, I had the information I needed to change my eating and exercise habits. What I needed was:
I gathered together some of my roller coaster riding buddies and together we formed our own weight loss support group. Next, I created this blog – Simply Losing It! I knew that to make permanent changes to my diet and lifestyle, I need accountability. What better way to achieve that than creating a blog that would not only chronicle my group’s weight loss but our discoveries, thoughts and experiences. The hope is that others will join us on this journey and we will learn from each other.
